Designed by Women, For Women
In developing Kalea Gold, TaylorMade engineers and designers recognised the importance of incorporating feedback from women. They engaged four distinct groups of women golfers to provide input during the design process.
The first group was the TaylorMade Women’s Advisory Board, comprised of female golf industry professionals from across Europe, including experts in teaching, club fitting, and women’s golf travel. Their insights guided the TaylorMade team in creating equipment that meets the needs of women golfers.
The second group was the TaylorMade Women’s Golf and Social Club, made up of TaylorMade employees who provided real-time feedback on everything from design colours to club grips.
Finally, data-driven test panels and online reviews from Kalea Premier users helped shape the vision for Kalea Gold.
From this feedback, TaylorMade identified two main priorities: cosmetics and performance. Women overwhelmingly preferred elegant colours like white, blue, and gold over the soft pastels often seen in women’s clubs. In terms of performance, Kalea Gold clubs were praised for being lightweight, forgiving, and high-performing.
Through this process, TaylorMade gained a deep understanding of who the Kalea Gold customer is. While some women purchased Kalea Gold as their first set of clubs, many were upgrading to Kalea Gold for their second or third set, demonstrating the line’s broad appeal and tangible benefits for women of all abilities.
Designed for More Speed and More Distance
The Kalea Gold driver features Carbonwood construction throughout the clubhead, allowing for strategic mass placement to increase energy transfer, optimise launch, and maximise distance while offering exceptional forgiveness and stability.
Mass optimisation also allows for the addition of a 2° loft sleeve and a TSS weight for precise tuning.
Optimised Performance
Kalea Gold fairway woods feature a wrapped carbon crown with an elegant look that inspires confidence at address. The use of ultralight carbon enhances launch conditions, speed, and forgiveness. The Speed Pocket and Inverted Cone face minimise downrange misses on off-centre strikes, while a TSS weight allows for optimised tuning.
Precision Performance
The Speed Pocket and Inverted Cone in the face of the Kalea Gold Rescue™ provide extra forgiveness, while the carbon crown lowers the CG for enhanced launch and spin.
Forgiveness and Control
Kalea Gold irons utilise Cap Back™ Design in tandem with the Speed Pocket to maximise launch and forgiveness. They also feature an ECHO® Damper for better sound and feel. The optimised face in each iron is engineered to increase COR for faster ball speeds. The thinner top lines provide a sleeker, cleaner look, and the irons have stronger lofts and a progressive upright lie angle to aid in draw bias.
Tour Proven Spider Technology
The Kalea Gold putter uses Spider S construction and a multi-material design to increase MOI and stability while aiding alignment. Its blue body, grey TruePath Alignment, and gold trailing edge offer the perfect contrast against the ball and green.
Style and Function
Premium construction and attention to detail extend beyond the clubs, with headcovers and bags that match the Kalea Gold theme of white, gold, grey, and blue designs.
