Wondering when Patch 2.7.8 will be released for Diablo 3? After a longer-than-expected test period on the PTR, the release date has been confirmed, setting the stage for Season 33 later this month.
While many Diablo fans are currently focused on Diablo 4 and its upcoming expansion, Vessel of Hatred, there are still players who enjoy the familiar world of Sanctuary in Diablo 3. Despite its age, Diablo 3 and its Reaper of Souls expansion continue to receive new patches and seasons on PC and consoles.
Release Date for Patch 2.7.8 in Diablo 3
If you’ve been eagerly awaiting a new patch and season, the wait is almost over.
Patch 2.7.8 is primarily focused on providing compatibility updates for Mac users running the latest versions of macOS, along with stability fixes. While the full patch notes have not yet been disclosed, no major changes are expected.
Season 32 is scheduled to conclude on October 20, just two days before the release of the new patch and five days before the start of Season 33: Shades of the Nephalem on October 25 at 5pm PDT.
While Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls’ seasons no longer receive new content, players can still earn new cosmetics by completing seasonal journeys and participating in refreshed events. Each season revolves around a specific theme, with Season 33 focusing on shadow clones of the player spawning when activating shrines. Additionally, Kanai’s Cube will feature a fourth upgrade slot this season, enhancing build flexibility.
For more information on Season 33, be sure to stay updated. Prepare to wrap up Season 32 in Diablo 3 before October 20, although the launch of Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred and its Season of Hatred on October 8 may pose a challenge.
