Diana Taurasi stands out as the most decorated player in Olympic basketball history. She secured her sixth gold medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics, making her the only player to achieve this feat as Team USA women’s basketball triumphed over France.
Team USA clinched their eighth consecutive Olympic gold by defeating France with a score of 67-66. Taurasi surpassed Sue Bird’s record of five Olympic gold medals.
Taurasi’s Olympic journey began in 2004, and she has since participated in the 2008, 2012, 2016, 2021 (delayed due to COVID-19), and 2024 Olympics, earning a gold medal on each occasion.
