Dolphins roll the dice on Darren Waller – Miami Dolphins News 7/3/25

The Miami Dolphins needed to find a replacement for Jonnu Smith after trading him to the Pittsburgh Steelers. There were plenty of names being thrown out there, but the Dolphins surprised everyone by trading with the New York Giants for a retired Darren Waller. You read that right, Waller was retired but told the Giants he would come out of retirement to play for the Dolphins. Who knows what Waller will look like out there but while this is a shocker, it is a low risk move. The Dolphins didn’t give up much for Waller and the money isn’t bad. Maybe it works out, maybe it doesn’t.
