This Sunday, the New York Giants (2-11) will have Drew Lock at quarterback when they take on the Baltimore Ravens (8-5) at MetLife Stadium.
Head coach Brian Daboll informed reporters that Lock’s availability will depend on his health, as he is currently undergoing an MRI for some injuries.
#Giants head coach Brian Daboll on injuries: Jon Runyan (ankle) week to week, maybe more. Tyler Nubin (ankle) “we’ll see where he’s at.” JMS getting an MRI, looks ok. QB Drew Lock getting an MRI as well, says he’s sore from a couple of things “don’t have the results just yet”

Lock briefly left the field during the previous game against the Saints but returned to finish the game. Runyan was replaced by rookie Kubas, and Nubin had to leave the game multiple times.
Both Runyan and Nubin had played every game this season before this.
The Giants continue to add to their injury list, fielding practice squad-level players in starting roles on both offense and defense.
During Sunday’s game, the Giants only had long snapper Casey Kreiter available as a healthy team captain, with many key players either on injured reserve or unable to play due to injuries.
With four games left in the season against teams vying for the postseason, the Giants will have to rely on backups at several key positions.
It remains to be seen whether this is a strategic move by the team to improve their draft position or simply a reflection of their current situation. With nothing left to play for, there is no rush to bring back injured players who are not fully recovered.
