Aston Martin has officially announced that Felipe Drugovich will continue to serve as the team’s test & reserve driver for the 2025 season.
Since 2022, the Brazilian driver has played a crucial role within the team, both on and off the track. He has taken part in five FP1 sessions, three end-of-season tests, and even substituted for an injured Lance Stroll during Bahrain’s pre-season testing in 2023.
Sharing the role with fellow test & reserve driver Stoffel Vandoorne, Drugovich will be present at all Grand Prix events in the upcoming season.
Expressing his excitement about the new season, Drugovich stated, “I am thrilled to continue my journey with Aston Martin for a third consecutive year. The team’s progress is evident, and I am eager to see what we can achieve together.”
“With the state-of-the-art facilities at the AMRTC, including the new simulator, it is clear that the team is ambitious, and I am dedicated to contributing to their long-term success. I am grateful for the team’s unwavering support,” he added.
Team Principal Mike Krack also praised Drugovich, stating, “Felipe has been a key member of our team, and we are delighted to extend our partnership with him for the 2025 season. He is truly an asset to the team.”
“His work behind the scenes, especially in the simulator and during testing, has been invaluable. Felipe’s commitment and feedback have significantly contributed to our progress, and we have full confidence in his ability to continue making a positive impact within our team.”
Wishing him luck for the upcoming 24 Hours of Daytona, Krack concluded his statement.
