The Philadelphia Eagles released their second official injury report on Tuesday for their Week 11 home game against the Washington Commanders on Thursday Night Football.
Please note that this report is an estimation as the team had a walkthrough instead of a normal practice.
Four players were listed under LIMITED PARTICIPATION: DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, Darius Slay, and Nakobe Dean.
These players were previously listed as DID NOT PARTICIPATE on Monday. The fact that they have been upgraded to limited participation is a positive sign for their chances of playing. More clarity will be provided when the final injury report is released on Wednesday.
Two players were listed as FULL PARTICIPATION: Jordan Mailata and Bryce Huff.
Mailata mentioned on Monday evening that there is a possibility he will play on Thursday night. While this does not guarantee his participation, it is a positive indication. He will likely replace Fred Johnson at left tackle if he is able to play.
Vic Fangio commented on Huff in response to a question about Jalyx Hunt’s increased playing time.
“[Hunt’s] improvement in practice. And it’s also a result of Bryce [Huff] who has a significant hand injury. He has a large cast on his hand, leaving his thumb and palm immobilized. It makes sense to substitute him in on passing downs where his ability may be limited.”
It is unlikely that the Eagles would limit a player like Myles Garrett to specific downs if he had a similar injury.
