POSITION:Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach
DUTIES:The Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach position is a full-time, 12-month position and reports directly to the Senior Vice President for Campus Life/Director of Athletics. The Head Coach must be committed to developing a high caliber, Christ-centered program and is responsible for the overall development of the tennis program, including coaching, sports discipleship, recruiting, contest scheduling, skill development, student-athlete mentoring, fundraising and marketing.
The Head Coach must be willing to travel for games and recruiting, which may include evenings and weekends. The Head Coach must adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations of the Athletic Department, ETBU, the NCAA, and the American Southwest Conference and is responsible for encouraging student-athletes in their spiritual, academic, athletic, and social development.
QUALIFICATIONS:The Head Coach must have prior collegiate experience with the game, the rules and regulations. Three years prior coaching experience is preferred. NCAA coaching preferred. The Head Coach must be a committed Christian and be active in a local church.
EDUCATION:A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required and a Master’s Degree preferred.

Employeeshall possess a commitment to Christ-centered, faith-integrated service and devotion to students’ intellectual enlightenment, spiritual formation, servant leadership development, and career preparation. Employee shall be cognizant and committed to the values, traditions, and history of Baptists. Employee agrees that he/she is an active member of a local Baptist church, and regularly attends church. Further, as a leader and role model for the students of ETBU, he/she agrees to participate in activities of the University; provide active support of the spiritual, intellectual, and educational ideals, values, activities,and objectives of East Texas Baptist University; and conform to Christian standards of faith and service.
