Jake Paul continues to attract interest in the boxing world, with the announcement that he will face Gervonta Davis on November 14.
His promotional company, Most Valuable Promotions, is blazing a trail in women’s boxing, signing some of the best talents, and giving female boxers a huge platform, such as the Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano 3-card.
Skye Nicolson is one of the most well-known fighters in women’s boxing and is currently signed with Matchroom Boxing. Despite being signed with Matchroom, the Australian spoke to She Kicks and had high praise for Paul and his influence on women’s boxing.

Nicolson (14-1, 3 KOs) suffered a shock split decision loss to Tiara Brown on March 22, 2025, losing her WBC featherweight title.
This defeat prompted the Aussie fighter to move to super bantamweight, where she’s won both fights by stoppage, including last time out against Urvashi Singh, to win the vacant IBF inter-continental super bantamweight title.
After suffering a quiet period, women’s boxing now appears to be on the rise once again, with Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian leading the charge with MVP.
Despite their rivalry with Eddie Hearn, his fighter, Nicolson, was full of praise for Jake Paul’s work in women’s boxing:
“I’m glad that he’s trying to give women’s boxing more limelight. He signed a lot of female fighters and really tried to push women’s boxing onto mainstream platforms. So you definitely can’t knock what he’s doing in the boxing world in that sense. The misfit stuff and the very lopsided weight division fights, less intrigued by that. But I love what he’s doing for women’s boxing at the moment.”
