CLEVELAND, Tenn.- The Lee University soccer teams had eight players selected for the 2024 Academic All-District Teams due to their outstanding performance in academics and athletics. The 2024 Academic All-District® Women’s Soccer Teams, chosen by College Sports Communicators, honor the best student-athletes in the country for their achievements both on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program recognizes soccer athletes in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
To be eligible for this recognition, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 (on a 4.0 scale), and participate in 90 percent of the games or start in at least 66 percent of them.
Among the Lady Flames honored are Jordan Blair, Grace Berry, Sydnee Duncan, Ashley Eulo, Avery Sides, and Abby Whitcomb. Blair, a senior, holds a 3.91 GPA in exercise science. Berry, a junior, maintains a 3.59 GPA in nursing. Senior Ashley Eulo has a 3.83 GPA in Human Development (Business Emphasis). Senior Sydnee Duncan holds a 3.97 GPA in exercise science. Avery Sides, a junior, has a 3.90 GPA in nursing. Junior Whitcomb has a 3.58 GPA in biology.
Marcos Garcia and Shay Gillen were the two Flames players recognized. Garcia, a junior, boasts a 3.95 GPA in finance. Gillen, also a junior, holds a 3.78 GPA in finance as well.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men’s and Women’s Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize outstanding student-athletes for their performance on and off the field. The CSC Academic All-America® program honors athletes in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

Academic All-District® recipients were considered for the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Those selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists will be denoted with an asterisk and move on to the national ballot for voting by CSC members. The first, second, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on Dec. 10, 2024 (men) and Dec. 11, 2024 (women).
The NCAA Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs receive financial support from the NCAA national governance structures to assist with awards fulfillment for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program receives partial financial support from the NAIA governance structure.
