Vitality Rose Helen Housby has won the NSW Swifts’ Most Valuable Player Award for the second consecutive year.
The MVP Award is the highest honor at the Swifts and is given to the player who receives the most votes from a specialist, independent Suncorp Super Netball panel during the regular season.
Housby now has two MVP titles, having first won it in 2023. Liz Ellis AO leads the way with nine MVP Awards, followed by Catherine Cox AM with four since the formation of the Swifts in 1997.

A two-time Premiership winner and three-time Grand Finalist with the Swifts, Vitality Rose Housby reached 100 games for the club in NSW’s Round 3 extra-time victory over the Firebirds and was a standout in the team’s Round 14 win over the Giants at Ken Rosewall Arena.
Swifts Executive General Manager Kath Tetley praised Housby at the club’s Gala Dinner at Doltone House in Sydney’s Hyde Park on Friday night.
Helen is a winner and has proven that in Suncorp Super Netball and on the international stage, but behind the bright lights she is one of the most humble, down-to-earth people you can meet
“Since moving to Sydney, Helen has become one of the biggest names in Australian sport. While missing the Finals will disappoint someone like Helen, her outstanding performances this year will motivate her and her teammates to come back stronger in 2025.”
