England Netball | Where to watch the Netball Super League Grand Final 2024
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

This Saturday sees the highlight of the Netball Super League (NSL) season as our top two teams go to battle in the Grand Final. Find out all the vital information about where to watch and follow the action here.

After delivering impressive performances in their respective semi-finals, it is four-time NSL champions Manchester Thunder and current reigning champions Loughborough Lightning who will match-up in a game that is sure to showcase the very best of elite domestic netball in the UK.

Before that though, fans can enjoy the third-place play-off match which will see Severn Stars and London Pulse battle it out for a bronze medal.

Both games are taking place on Saturday 29 June and will be broadcast on Sky Sports Arena and YouTube.

All the details on how to watch these unmissable matches can be found here.

Severn Stars v London Pulse – First Centre Pass at 14:00 Saturday 29 June

Severn Stars have already made history by making it to this third-place play-off, with the Club’s previous best-ever finish coming in 2023 when they were sixth in the table. This will be the Worcester-based side’s final Super League game and a bronze medal today would be a fitting goodbye to this history-making squad. On the other hand, London Pulse are determined to put out a winning performance to be proud of following their semi-final defeat to Loughborough Lighting. Each side has beaten the other once during the regular season creating what promises to be an intriguing battle for fans at Resorts World Arena and those watching from home.

Severn Stars Player to Watch: Sigi Burger shot 45 goals at 100% accuracy in Stars’ semi-final loss against Thunder. Whilst it wasn’t quite enough to get her team over the line last week, if she can connect with wing attack Jess Shaw early in the game and receive more of the same great service, then these perfect shooting statistics are sure to help Stars in their bid for a bronze medal.

London Pulse Player to Watch: Funmi Fadoju was named in Layla Guscoth’s Team of the Week after yet another stand-out performance in the semi-finals. This was the thirteenth time this season that Funmi has been selected as the goal defence in the Team of the Week. She is an undoubtedly special player who will be key to Pulse’s success on Saturday.

Manchester Thunder v Loughborough Lighting – First Centre Pass at 16:30 Saturday 29 June

This is it, the Grand Final. After 60 minutes of hard-fought netball we will be able to crown the champions of the Netball Super League for 2024. With Manchester Thunder bidding to make history and equal Team Bath’s five NSL wins and Loughborough Lightning aiming to make club history with their first ever back-to-back title, the stage is truly set for a spectacle of netball. Manchester Thunder have only lost one game this whole season, to Loughborough Lightning in round six, and Loughborough Lightning were defeated by Thunder at home in round twelve. There is no knowing which way this one is going to go, we’ll just have to wait and watch!

Manchester Thunder Player to Watch: Lois Pearson is the epitome of cool, calm and collected on court. After a season full of exceptional performances for the North West based side, fans can expect to see Pearson continue this fine form into what is likely to be one of the biggest games of her career so far.

Loughborough Lightning Player to Watch: Beth Cobden has had a stand-out season for Loughborough Lightning this year, earning her a return back into the Vitality Roses programme. Her relentless defensive pressure will be key as she matches up against fellow Vitality Rose Nat Metcalf. Whoever wins this battle might just determine the final result.
