ESPN has solidified its position as the primary NBA rights holder in Australia and New Zealand, known as the ‘Home For Hoops’, through a groundbreaking 11-year extension agreement with the National Basketball Association and Women’s National Basketball Association.
Starting from the 2025-26 season until the 2035-36 season, this long-term deal ensures that ESPN remains the home for NBA and WNBA programming in the region.
Under this exclusive agreement, ESPN will be the sole broadcaster for approximately 240 regular season NBA games, an expanded game package for the First and Second Round of the NBA Playoffs, as well as coverage of all NBA Conference Finals and NBA Finals games.
The WNBA coverage will include regular season games, playoffs, WNBA Semi Final, and WNBA Finals series.
ESPN will also cover NBA and WNBA All-Star Weekends, NBA Draft, and WNBA Draft events.
In addition to game coverage, ESPN will offer enhanced studio coverage on game nights, featuring player arrivals, interviews, and real-time highlights from around the league.
