F1 returns to Jeddah Corniche Circuit for the fifth race on the sport’s fastest-ever street circuit. Here’s everything you need to know ahead of attending the 2025 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix

Having made its debut back in 2021, the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix returns for its fifth appearance on the Formula 1 calendar in 2025. Designed by Hermann Tilke, Jeddah Corniche Circuit is the fastest street circuit on which the sport has ever raced and has delivered some exciting racing since joining the calendar.

After running on a Thursday to Saturday format in 2024 due to Ramadan, the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix moves to a later calendar slot in 2025 as the fifth race of the season. The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix is the final part of a triple header of races, with the Bahrain Grand Prix taking place one week earlier. Red Bull’s Max Verstappen is the only repeat winner in Jeddah, having scored wins here in 2022 and 2024.

Jeddah Corniche Circuit was tweaked ahead of the 2023 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, with a focus on driver safety. It was recently announced that F1 will continue racing at the street circuit until at least 2027, with construction work on a new purpose-built track in Qiddiya not expected to be finished until 2028. Prior to F1’s fifth visit, the all-electric Formula E series visited the Jeddah circuit for the first time in February 2025, using a shorter layout of the track.

As the race takes place at night, you will avoid Jeddah’s warm daytime temperatures. We recommend packing warmer clothes for your visit, as temperatures drop to a cooler 20°C in the evening, and it may become breezy as darkness falls.

Where to Stay for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix

Several high-end hotels are located very close to Jeddah Corniche Circuit, notably the Shangri-La Jeddah, the Sheraton Jeddah Hotel and Radisson Blu Hotel, Jeddah Corniche, though these can be booked up by teams, media and track workers. Alternatively, there’s plenty of hotels along the Corniche heading south from the circuit towards the old centre of the city. International chain hotels are generally a lot more expensive on race weekend than local hotels. Learn More: Where to Stay in Jeddah – 2025 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix

How Much Does it Cost to Attend the 2025 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix?

Saudi Arabia is a mid-priced F1 destination. In our ranking of 2024 ticket prices, it was 11th on the list of the cheapest races to attend. The organizers also offer attractive early-bird discounts of up to 20%. 3-day general admission tickets are amongst the cheapest of the season and tickets are relatively affordable for local fans. Tickets cost under 14% of the average monthly wage.

Unlike most other events on the F1 calendar, tickets prices for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix have remained steady or fallen slights over the last three seasons. We’ve estimated that the average fan will spend $1,150 USD on tickets and accommodation (plus spending money) over the race weekend. Learn more about how much you can expect to spend at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in Budget Planner.

How to Get to Jeddah Corniche Circuit

Jeddah Corniche Circuit is located in the impressive Corniche area of Jeddah. It’s around 20km north of the city centre. Jeddah is served by King Abdulaziz International Airport, which is less than a half hour drive from the track. Taxi, car share or Uber are the most convenient ways of getting to Jeddah Corniche Circuit if your accommodation is not within walking distance of the track. Public transport routes within the city are not well developed and may be disrupted over the race weekend. Learn more about how to get to the circuit in our Getting There guide.

Trackside Entertainment at the 2025 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix

You are usually able to get up close to the pit garages (and maybe even spot a driver or two!) in a pit lane walk for ticket holders, which takes place on the day before the opening practice sessions from 15:00-16:30. Details about a pit lane walk at the 2025 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix have not yet been announced.

Jennifer Lopez, Party Next Door, Usher and Major Lazer are the headline acts performing at Jeddah Corniche Circuit as part of the post-race concert series at the 2025 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. The concerts take place on the main stage in the Fanzone. All ticket holders can attend free of charge. Jennifer Lopez and Party Next Door will be performing on Saturday April 19, while Major Lazer and Usher will be performing after the race on Sunday April 20.

Confirmed support categories for the 2025 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix are Formula 2 and the all-female F1 Academy. The full on-track schedule for the 2025 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, along with further information on venue opening times, prohibited items, parking and more is available in our Trackside Guide.

Respecting Local Customs in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia is a conservative country where Islamic laws are observed. Though locals are generally tolerant and will not take offence if rules are not strictly observed, it is a good idea to follow social etiquette during your trip.

The consumption of alcohol is banned by law and public decency laws must be respected. Both men and women should dress modestly. Men should wear long trousers, not shorts, and long-sleeved shirts. Women should carry a headscarf for occasions where covering of the hair is appropriate. Be aware that prayers are observed five times per day and shops and restaurants may briefly close during these times.

What to See and Do in Jeddah

Jeddah is the second largest city in Saudi Arabia and the country’s most popular tourist destination. As its name suggests, Jeddah Corniche Circuit is located in the Corniche area of the city. The Corniche has a plethora of parks and beaches. Take a walk at sunset and soak up the atmosphere in one of the many cafes on the fringes of the Red Sea. At the south end of the Corniche, you’ll find King Fahd’s Fountain; the largest water fountain anywhere in the world. Also known as the Jeddah Fountain, water reaches 260 metres in the air!

Whether you’re looking for traditional Saudi Arabian products or a more modern shopping experience, you’ll find both in Jeddah. Prince Fahd Bin Sultan Avenue is the place to be for designer goods, as are the Park and Al Hokair malls. Red Sea Mall is also worth checking out, with amenities for the whole family. You’ll also find some of the city’s best places to eat in the malls. Outside of the city, and a few hours inland, Taif is the place to be for natural produce, from food stuffs to perfumes and oils.

More things to see and do in Jeddah:

Swim in the Red Sea: The welcoming warm water of the Red Sea is perfect for a leisurely swim or even a dive. Take a boat out for the day and soak up the sun out on the open water. With good visibility underwater, you might be able to find one of the shipwrecks which can be found on the seabed in the area.

Explore the ancient city: Visit Al Balad for a taste of traditional life in Jeddah. The ancient crumbling buildings give Jeddah’s old quarter a lot of character – and it’s worth taking a few hours to explore the narrow old streets. Historic Jeddah is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Visit Mecca: Further afield, the religiously important Mecca is around 100km from Jeddah. Over six million Muslims make the pilgrimage to the holy city each year.

This is just a short summary of the many things you can experience during a trip to Jeddah. Read more ideas for your trip to the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in Off Track Activities.
