Former IBF heavyweight champion Charles Martin (30-4-1, 27 KOs) made his return to the ring after 16 months to face off against Matthew McKinney (17-9-3, 13 KOs) at the Fox Theater in Redwood City, California. Martin, a southpaw, ended the fight in the first round with a powerful straight left that knocked out McKinney. This marked Martin’s first fight since his match against Jared Anderson last year.
