USC star JuJu Watkins continues her impressive second-year campaign in 2025 with a dominant 75-55 victory over the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Wednesday. Watkins scored 26 points along with three rebounds, four assists, two steals, and a block in the 20-point win.
As the 6-foot-2 guard shines for the Trojans, fans are drawing comparisons to basketball legends, with many foreseeing a bright future for Watkins at USC.
“So smooth. WNBA, your Michael Jordan is on the way,” one fan commented with a fire emoji.
“26 points off seven buckets. Very KD-like,” another fan observed.
“Baby Bean,” a fan referenced Kobe Bryant.
In addition to comparisons with NBA stars, Watkins is also being likened to WNBA standouts like Maya Moore.
“Hot take, she gonna end up being the up there with Maya Moore, Lisa Leslie, & A’ja (Wilson),” one fan predicted.
“She gives me Maya Moore vibes. That kid is a STAR,” another user added.
“The most complete women’s player since Maya…She literally has no flaws in her game,” a user commented.
With more stellar performances, Watkins could cement her legacy as a college great during her time at USC. Next, the Trojans will face the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Sunday, Jan. 5.
