Chicago Sky star Angel Reese had a meet-up with Brazilian football icon Vinicius Junior in Florida during the offseason. Vini Jr. shared photos from his trip on Instagram, including one with Reese.
Vini Jr. is known as one of the world’s top soccer players, and their meeting has created a buzz on social media.
Some fans referred to Reese’s past comments on her WNBA salary not being sufficient to cover her rent, now suggesting she has experienced true wealth after meeting Vini Jr.
“She gonna know real wealth now,” the fan said.
Reese’s WNBA salary of $73,439 annually is only a fraction of what Vini Jr. earns. The Real Madrid player reportedly makes $414,000 per week.
Reese has ties to the soccer world, having joined the ownership group for the USL Super League team DC Power Football Club earlier this year.
“She owns a soccer team so that’s a good connection to have,” another commented.
Starting his career at Flamengo, Vini Jr. joined Real Madrid at 18 and has since won multiple championships with the club.
