There are some worrisome fantasy football matchups and potential land mines on the Week 7 NFL slate. Let’s take a look at five players who could flop based on their projections.
PPR projection: 13.78
Dart will be a popular start this week after putting up 19.84, 15.58 and 23.6 points in his first three games, but fantasy owners should tread lightly here. The Broncos have a nasty defense that ranks second in points allowed to quarterbacks and just held Justin Fields to 45 passing yards and 4.9 fantasy points. You might want to keep Dart on the bench for this one.
PPR projection: 10.1
Pollard was a solid RB2 through five weeks, but a healthy Tyjae Spears is already eating into his workload. In Week 6, Pollard played a season-low 43 percent of Tennessee’s offensive snaps to Spears’ 59 percent. He finished the game with only 34 rushing yards and 6.7 fantasy points. Expect more of the same against a Patriots defense that’s giving up the sixth-fewest points to running backs.
PPR projection: 13.4
After a strong start to the fantasy season, Etienne has taken a step back due to a few tough matchups in a row. That streak continues in Week 7, as the Rams rank third in points allowed to running backs and first in rushing touchdowns allowed. Jacksonville could be in for another slow offensive game this week.
PPR projection: 15.1
