Fast Racing Will be on Display at the 2024 Bank of America Chicago Marathon
The lineup for the 46th Bank of America Chicago Marathon was unveiled today, featuring some of the fastest women in the world, exciting first-time marathon stars, and defending champions in the wheelchair category.
Executive Race Director Carey Pinkowski expressed optimism about continuing the tradition of outstanding performances with the addition of top global athletes this year.
Leading the women’s field is Sutume Kebede of Ethiopia, the fastest women’s marathoner of the year. She will be challenged by Ruth Chepngetich, the fourth fastest woman in history, and Joyciline Jepkosgei, a top contender in major marathons.
In the men’s field, Amos Kipruto of Kenya is set to headline the competition. He will face tough competition from Vincent Ngetich and others aiming for their first major victory.
Defending champions Marcel Hug and Catherine Debrunner will return to defend their titles in the wheelchair division and aim to break their own course records.
