The WNBA’s 2025 season is set to see significant changes, with seven teams welcoming new coaches, including Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever. Lexie Hull, a guard for the Fever, recently shared her expectations for the upcoming year in the league.
In an interview with Winsidir, Hull expressed her desire to enhance her role within the team. She acknowledged her strong finish to the previous season but aims for more consistency throughout the upcoming season. Hull highlighted finishing as an area she intends to improve and is actively working on.
Regarding the team’s objectives, Hull emphasized the goal of collective improvement. She particularly hopes to see the Fever secure a playoff victory, emphasizing that reaching the playoffs was a positive achievement, but winning games in the postseason is the ultimate target. Her sentiments align with Caitlin Clark’s ambition for Indiana to contend for the championship in the upcoming season.
After a challenging start to the season, the Fever found their stride post-Olympic break to secure a playoff spot, marking their first appearance since 2016. However, they were defeated by Stephanie White’s Connecticut Sun in the postseason.

Reflecting on Last Season’s Challenges
During the previous season, Hull faced initial struggles and limited playing time, especially in the first half. However, she showcased improvement in the latter half, notably in her three-point shooting percentage (60.4%). Hull candidly shared her experiences of overcoming early obstacles and adapting to the situation.
“It was a challenging period. Every player wants to contribute and have a defined role within the team. It took me some time to understand that it’s a process and that my opportunity would come,” she revealed.
“In basketball, roles can evolve, and I focused on putting in the effort during the initial months when I didn’t see much playing time. I remained optimistic for the second part of the season,” she added.
