Fever Turnaround In Caitlin Clark’s Rookie Season Is Staggering
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

It is evident that the Indiana Fever has made a significant turnaround this season. This can be clearly seen in the standings.

The Fever secured a spot in the playoffs for the first time since 2016 last week. This indicates that they have been at the top of the draft for quite some time. In fact, they have had the first overall pick in consecutive seasons.

In 2023, Indiana selected Aliyah Boston from South Carolina as the top pick. The team’s record improved from 5-31 to 13-27 in Boston’s debut season.

Subsequently, they picked Caitlin Clark from Iowa at number one in 2024. The Fever currently hold a record of 19-17.

This means that the team has more wins this season than the previous two seasons combined, as highlighted by the play-by-play announcer Pat Boylan.

Boston played a key role in the latest victory, scoring a career-high 30 points in a game against the Atlanta Dream. She also contributed 13 rebounds and 5 assists.

Clark has been the main driving force behind this season’s remarkable turnaround. She scored 26 points, 5 rebounds, and 12 assists in the same game, producing impressive statistics consistently.

Since the WNBA resumed after the Olympics break, the Fever have had an 8-2 record with Clark leading the way with outstanding performances.

In Caitlin Clark’s last 10 games she’s averaging 24.7 points, 5.8 rebounds & 9.3 assists.

Previous team members like Kelsey Mitchell, the team’s third All-Star, and Lexie Hull, known for her defensive and shooting skills, have also contributed to the team’s climb in the standings.

The Fever now appear to be a strong contender in the upcoming WNBA playoffs, with three standout players consistently delivering.

Clark, in particular, is showcasing her value in the team’s impressive turnaround, displaying exceptional scoring and assisting abilities.

This improvement is clearly reflected in the standings.
