Linda F: Quad injuries are a b—-! They linger. Clark seemed ok against the Liberty on Saturday, maybe she wasn’t. One thing: Clark is always complaining about non calls or calls against her. Grow up and get over it. While some players do complain, they also move on. Sometimes I get the impression she expects “Michael Jordan” treatment by the refs. You know, you can’t touch me or get in my way or breathe on me. Maybe she got that treatment in college, but the WNBA is physical league.
Players are jostled, banged into, touched on almost every shot, or when they have the ball. I had seats in about the 4th row in the Garden when the Liberty played the Sparks back in the aughts. It was Candace Parker’s 1st game back from something, maybe an injury. A friend who is a big Parker fan got the tickets. Being that close opened my eyes to the physicality of the game. It was a WOW moment for me.
