Caitlin Clark has once again set a record.
The Indiana Fever star dropped 23 points, eight assists and five rebounds on Saturday in a 90-80 loss to the Minnesota Lynx, putting her over the 500-point and 200-assist mark in just 29 career games.
With the record-breaking rookie year she’s had, it’s no surprise that Clark became not only the fastest player in WNBA history to record 500 points and 200 assists, but the first player to achieve both of those numbers in their rookie season.
Though the Fever couldn’t walk away with the win on Saturday, fans still praised Clark for achieving another milestone.

Caitlin Clark gonna smash the all time assists record and probably the all time scoring record too by the time she’s done#FeverRising

caitlin clark already leads the league in assists per game and total assists in her rookie season… she’s gonna go down as the greatest playmaker in wnba history when it’s all said and done, no disrespect to the great sue bird, but it’s a fact.
Even with the loss, the Fever have shown outstanding improvement compared to last season. Indiana finished 13-27 a year ago, and it has already matched its win total through 29 games, sitting at 13-16 on the year.
The Fever are also in a good position to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2016 as they are currently in seventh place in the WNBA standings.
Clark has already made history this season and added to it on Saturday. She’ll look to continue breaking records this year and hopefully lead her team to a playoff berth.
