The 2025-26 EuroLeague Women season is only a few weeks old, but we’ve already reached the halfway point in the first round of group play. Every team has now played each of its first-round opponents once, setting up rematches for the next three weeks: Week 4 will have the same matchups as Week 1, Week 5 the same matchups as Week 2 and so on.
Why is this important? Keep in mind that after the first six weeks of group play, the top three finishers in each group move on to the second round, while the last-place finishers are eliminated from EuroLeague Women and sent to its sister competition, EuroCup Women. For some clubs, advancing to the next round is a foregone conclusion; Fenerbahçe Opet, Galatasaray Çağdaş Faktoring and Spar Girona all lead their respective groups with 3-0 records, while clubs like VBW Gdynia and DVTK HUNTHERM never seemed to have much of a chance to advance past the first round.
So, while each of this week’s games will be rematches of those played in Week 1, the stakes will be higher this time around. New arrivals continue to trickle in as well: Defending EuroLeague Women champions ZVVZ USK Praha announced that they have signed Bridget Carleton to their roster, while Leonie Fiebich is back with Valencia Basket Club for her second season. You can watch Carleton’s and Fiebich’s season debuts, as well as the rest of this week’s games, live and for free on FIBA’s EuroLeague Women YouTube channel.
