CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois fell to No. 22 Michigan State, 86-68, at State Farm Center on Sunday afternoon, snapping the Fighting Illini’s two-game winning streak.
Recording her ninth-consecutive double-digit scoring game, Adalia McKenzie finished with 15 points, 14 of which came in the first half. McKenzie also logged three rebounds and two assists.
Kendall Bostic registered her 11th double-double of the season, tallying 20 points and 14 rebounds against the Spartans. She also made one steal and dished out an assist.
Jasmine Brown-Hagger amassed 12 points, a team-high four assists, two steals, and two rebounds.
Next up for the Fighting Illini is an in-state matchup against Northwestern away from home on Thursday. The opening tipoff from the Wildcats’ Welsh-Ryan Arena is slated for 7 p.m. CT on Big Ten Network.
