Brandon Figueroa and Stephen Fulton will have a rematch in the featherweight division on December 14, as part of the Gervonta “Tank” Davis vs Lamont Roach pay-per-view undercard.
According to a report by ESPN.com’s Mike Coppinger earlier today.
In their previous encounter in 2021, Figueroa (25-1-1, 19 KO) and Fulton (22-1, 8 KO) fought as super bantamweights, with Fulton winning a close majority decision to unify the WBC and WBO titles.
Following their first fight, Fulton lost his titles to Naoya Inoue in the summer of 2023, while Figueroa moved up to featherweight in 2022 and has since had a 3-0 record, including claiming the interim WBC belt with a victory over Mark Magsayo in March 2023.
Fulton also made the move to featherweight in his most recent bout on September 14, defeating Carlos Castro, whom Figueroa had previously beaten when he made the move to 126 lbs a few years ago.
The pay-per-view undercard is expected to also include Alberto Puello defending the WBC super lightweight title against Sandor Martin.
