This is the announcement for the 45th Annual Foot Locker Cross Country Championships, proudly presented by HOKA. This event is a personal favorite of mine, as it brings together thousands of young athletes who are fulfilling their dreams by competing in the national championships for cross country!
Foot Locker’s Cross Country Championships Celebrate 45 Years
Registration is now open for the Regional Races, in partnership with HOKA
NEW YORK – September 9TH, 2024 – The renowned Foot Locker Cross Country Championships (FLCC) are back for their 45th consecutive year. High school cross country runners from all over the United States will compete in four regional competitions in the hopes of earning a spot in the national cross-country championship.
The Foot Locker Cross Country Championship is the oldest cross country race in the country. The Northeast, South, and Midwest regional races will take place on Saturday, November 30, with the West Regional race scheduled for Saturday, December 7. Numerous top high school runners are expected to compete in these regional meets.
For the second year in a row, Foot Locker is partnering with HOKA as the presenting sponsor for all races. HOKA’s lineup of athletes includes Foot Locker Cross Country National Alumni Futsum Zienasellassie, Ashley Brasovan, and Luis Grijalva, who have continued to embody the spirit of the race throughout their careers. Registration for the 2024 regional races is open to the public now.

The top ten finishers from each regional championship race will qualify for the Foot Locker XC National Finals on December 14th in San Diego, California. Competitors will join past Olympians Meb Keflezighi, Galen Rupp, Deena Kastor, Alan Webb, Kara Goucher, and Ryan Hall, along with Paris Olympians Grant Fisher, Nikki Hiltz, Cole Hocker, Weini Kelati, Woody Kincaid, Conner Mantz, Fiona O’Keeffe, Emily Sisson, and Juliette Whittaker.
Runners can register online starting September 9th with a discounted early bird registration fee at footlockerxc.com. Participants in all regional races will receive an exclusive HOKA FLXC backpack after the competition.
