For the past few years, FootJoy has turned to the renowned wool-weaver Harris Tweed for help creating limited-edition golf shoes to celebrate the Open Championship.
This year’s rendition may just be my favorite.
“We are always looking for a strong narrative to tie the two brands together and for this year’s collaboration celebrating the 152nd Open Championship in Ayrshire, the design came to me relatively quickly,” said Mark Hogarth, Brand Ambassador at Harris Tweed Hebrides.
Dubbed “The Stamp”, the limited capsule is comprised of two distinct models, the FootJoy Premiere Wilcox and Field. Both feature, as is custom, hand-woven tweed in a unique basket-weave pattern. The “postage stamp” effect you see was achieved through six different colors of yarn.
Both the Field and Wilcox models also feature full-grain leather uppers and eye-catching gold traction spikes. If there ever was a FootJoy shoe that screams “elegance”, this is it.
You can purchase the FootJoy x Harris Tweed collection of golf shoes while supplies last.
