HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Columbia High School has named its next girls’ basketball coach!

Shanece McKinney Sims will lead the charge for the Eagles!

Originally from Mobile, Alabama, Sims played her collegiate career at Louisiana State University from 2010 to 2014.

Sims would go on to play in the WNBA with the New York Liberty and eventually took her skills overseas in Turkey, France, Spain, Beirut, and South Korea.

She began her coaching career in 2018 and most recently served at Foley High School. Sims also served as an assistant coach at Coastal Alabama Community College.
