McLaren driver Lando Norris led the way in the second one-hour practice session at the Hungarian Grand Prix, with reigning champion Max Verstappen close behind. F1Technical’s lead journalist Balazs Szabo provides insights on FP2 from the Hungaroring.
In the second practice session, McLaren’s Lando Norris set the fastest time of 1m17.788s. Max Verstappen in his upgraded RB20 followed closely in second place, just over two tenths behind Norris.
Carlos Sainz took third place, but struggled during his race simulation in his Ferrari.
Sergio Perez, who has been lacking pace in recent races, showed improvement in the second practice session at the Hungarian Grand Prix. The Red Bull driver finished fourth, followed by Russell in fifth, Magnussen in sixth, and Hamilton in seventh.
