Frank Warren Discusses Nick Ball’s Potential Clash with Naoya Inoue
Warren Talks Potential Ball vs Inoue Bout
Ball enjoyed a memorable 2024 campaign, with impressive wins over Raymond Ford and Ronny Rios, in addition to a controversial draw against Rey Vargas. Doheny had won three fights in a row before his defeat last time out against Naoya Inoue.
When speaking to talkSPORT, Warren was asked by Ade Oladpio if Nick Ball could be in the conversation to face Naoya Inoue: “Yeah, we’ve had conversations about it, but it won’t happen until the end of the year if it does. And he’s got to get through as you just said, a fight on Saturday which fingers crossed he will,” said the Queensberry founder.
Warren continued: “Then after that, I’d expect him to come out again and have another fight before the end of the year, and then we can hopefully get the Inoue fight on, which is a fight I really do fancy him in.”
Inoue is due to face Ramon Cardenas on May 4 – and should he come through that, it’s expected he will face Murodjon“MJ” Akhmadaliev before fighting in Riyadh at the end of the year. Could Ball-Inoue take place in late 2025?
