With the increase in interest in the WNBA, basketball stars Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier have collaborated with investors to provide players with a new way to earn income during the offseason.
Unrivaled, a new 3-on-3 basketball tournament, offers WNBA players the opportunity to stay in the U.S. instead of playing overseas. Fans will also get to enjoy an innovative and entertaining product.
The league will include a 1-on-1 tournament for the first time, featuring players like Angel Reese, Aaliyah Edwards, Rickea Jackson, Sabrina Ionescu, and Brittney Griner in the inaugural edition.
In addition, the first season of Unrivaled will have a star-studded lineup of anchors and commentators.
Candace Parker, Lauren Jbara, and Renee Montgomery will lead studio coverage on TNT, with special appearances by Lisa Leslie.
Commentary duties will be handled by Lisa Leslie, Brendan Glasheen, and Sarah Kustok, with input from Ros Gold-Onwude, Taylor Rooks, Stephanie Ready, and Allie LaForce.
How to watch Unrivaled?
All games will be broadcasted on TNT or truTV. TNT will air games on Fridays and Sundays, while truTV will cover Saturdays. Fans can also watch all games on Max.
The league kicks off on Friday, January 17, with Mist and Lunar Owls playing at 7:00 pm (ET), followed by Rose and Vynil at 8:15 pm (ET), both airing on TNT.
