Russian Muslim Gadzhimagomedov claimed the WBA bridgerweight championship title by defeating Zhaoxin Zhang with a fourth-round technical knockout in Serpukhov, Russia.
Right from the start, Gadzhimagomedov displayed his dominance in the ring, landing punches that quickly began to wear down his Chinese opponent. It was clear that it was only a matter of time before he would emerge victorious.
During the fourth round, he unleashed a flurry of punches to Zhang’s face, ultimately knocking him down and prompting the referee to stop the fight due to Zhang’s condition.
This victory marked Gadzhimagomedov’s fourth win, with 3 of them coming by way of knockout. Zhang, on the other hand, now holds a record of 12 wins, 3 losses, 1 draw, and 7 knockouts.
