Gervonta “Tank” Davis has officially announced a new date and location for his upcoming fight against Lamont Roach.
The fight, originally set for Dec. 14 in Houston, will now take place on Mar. 1 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The event will be available for viewing on Prime Video pay-per-view and will feature Davis defending his lightweight title.
This bout will mark PBC’s second pay-per-view event in less than a month, with the first being David Benavidez vs David Morrell on Feb. 1.
Davis, with an impressive record of 30-0 with 28 knockouts, only fought once this year, securing a victory against Frank Martin on June 15. His last fights in 2023 were wins over Hector Luis Garcia and Ryan Garcia.
Roach, who currently holds the WBA super featherweight title, will be challenging for the WBA belt in the lightweight division. The 29-year-old has been on a six-fight winning streak, with his most recent victory in June against Feargal McCrory.
