In the post-race interview by LetsRun.com, one of the finest this writer has ever seen, Grant Fisher let his proverbial hair down and spoke about running by himself for 6 minutes and 22 seconds. Grant thanked his two pacers, credited with getting him to the halfway point. “Running those 200 meters by myself felt like 400s… It is tough to run 30-second laps by yourself..there are only a few in the world can do that.” Grant Foster has run 3:33.99 PB at 1,500 meters, 7:22.91 WR/AR at 3,000 meters, and now, 5,000 meters in 12:44.09, breaking the WR by five seconds, which was held by Kenenisa Bekele (12:49.60) for twenty-one years.

Grant Fisher is a remarkable, exceptional WR breaker and Olympic racer. He is one of the special ones; please treasure his race and deep thoughts!
