Haas has finally resolved its long-standing dispute with former Nikita Mazepin sponsor Uralkali.
Legal officers representing the fertiliser company, with the assistance of Dutch police, officially seized Haas’ F1 cars and major equipment at Zandvoort on Friday.
Haas was granted permission to use the equipment for the remainder of the Dutch GP weekend, but it could not leave the Netherlands until approximately 10 million euros in total were repaid to Uralkali.
As of early Saturday, Haas’ participation in the upcoming Italian GP was still uncertain.
Team principal Ayao Komatsu noted, “This process is quite complex, which is why it’s taking longer than anticipated. However, our legal team is working on it.”
He assured Sky Italia, “We are fully focused on resolving this matter promptly, so everything should be fine. I don’t foresee any issues,” when questioned about the possibility of Haas missing the Monza race.
According to Sky Italia and other reputable sources, the debt has been completely repaid.
“The payment has been received,” announced the broadcaster. “Haas has settled its debt with its former sponsor, and the team will participate in the Italian GP as usual.”
