Haas has confirmed the extension of its technical partnership with Ferrari, which includes the use of power units, until at least the end of the 2028 season.
Since entering Formula 1 in 2016, Haas has received multiple components from Ferrari, such as power unit, gearbox, and suspension. The American team achieved its best finish of fifth in the constructors’ championship in 2018 and currently holds the seventh position this season, just four points behind RB.

Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu expressed his excitement about extending the partnership with Scuderia Ferrari until 2028, highlighting the stability it provides for the team’s growth amidst new power unit regulations set to take effect in 2026.
Komatsu stated, “I’m thrilled to extend our relationship with Scuderia Ferrari until 2028. As an organization, we’ve only ever raced with Ferrari power units, and to have that continued stability moving into the next set of power unit regulations is a key part of our ongoing development.”
He added, “The relationship with Scuderia Ferrari has always been special to us, as they were instrumental in the genesis of the program and have been a valuable technical partner throughout the past nine seasons. I’m delighted we now have more seasons ahead and my thanks go to Fred Vasseur and many others at Scuderia Ferrari for continuing to show faith in our project.”
The announcement of the partnership extension with Ferrari does not impact ongoing discussions between Haas and Toyota for a potential collaboration, with talks still underway with the Japanese automotive company for future common ground.
