Lewis Hamilton responded to Fernando Alonso’s furious radio message after the pair finished four-tenths of a second apart in Singapore. Alonso was infuriated to fall short of passing Hamilton, who cut several corners after suffering brake failure. The Aston Martin driver repeatedly exclaimed “I don’t fucking believe it” and accused the stewards of being too lenient with Hamilton in the past. Hamilton posted a video montage of archetypal grumpy old man Victor Meldrew from the nineties sitcom One Foot in the Grave uttering his catchphrase “I don’t believe it”. He added the caption “18 years of…”, having entered F1 in 2007 as Alonso’s team mate at McLaren.

‘The unnamed woman at the centre of the Christian Horner scandal has been paid £3 million to leave Red Bull, according to sources connected to the team. The employee, whose identity is protected by legal anonymity, has agreed to move on and drop her allegations in return for the fee.’
