The 007 question has been occupying Hollywood for a while now. With Amazon’s recent takeover of the series, the internet is once again discussing possible candidates.
It was only announced a few days ago that Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson are retiring from 007. This means that Amazon will now decide the future of Bond alone.
Former Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos (now: executive president) now wants to hear from James Bond fans: Who should be the next to order “a martini – not stirred, but shaken”?
Fans want the ex-Witcher Henry Cavill

Alongside actors like Tom Hardy (Inception, The Dark Knight Rises), Michael B. Jordan (Black Panther, Fantastic Four), Sam Heughan (Outlander, Born to be Great) or Michael Fassbender (Prometheus, X-Men: First Class), one name comes up quite often in the comments: Henry Cavill. For many, the 41-year-old actor seems to be perfect for the role. Here are a few examples from the comments:“The incomparable Henry Cavill.” – user
“Henry Cavill.” – User BrandonFugal
“Henry Cavill as Bond for AT LEAST 4 films […]” – User LadyGravemaster
»Henry Cavill. No doubt about it.« – User FLDawg80
Fans support their opinion with numerous pictures and homemade posters of Henry Cavill as 007. Like user EstaRyan12, for example:

Could Henry Cavill really be the next 007?
At the age of 22, the then relatively unknown Cavill was already auditioning for the role, and a snippet of his application video recently emerged. Many fans understood why he was not chosen for the role. They believe he was not yet ready for the big shoes left by James Bond.
Meanwhile, Henry Cavill has become very popular and has been able to develop as an actor with roles such as Superman or Geralt von Riva (The Witcher).
However, it is precisely this status and his current age that could be the actor’s undoing. In the past, producers have preferred unknown actors for James Bond. What’s more, at 41, Cavill is already four years older than Daniel Craig was when he made his first Bond movie, Casino Royale.
But who knows, with Amazon’s authority, the tide could still turn.
Incidentally, actors such as Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Bullet Train, Kraven the Hunter), Stuart Martin (Rebel Moon, Army of Thieves) and James Norton (Joy, Black Mirror) were recently considered as possible candidates for the role of agent. Amazon’s complete takeover could also mean that completely new names are available.
