During a press conference after their game against the Seattle Storm, members of the Chicago Sky were caught off guard when a reporter’s microphone picked up a private conversation. The incident happened after the Sky’s 84-71 loss, as coach Teresa Weatherspoon and several players were answering questions from the media.
As one reporter was speaking, a female voice could be heard in the background discussing intimate relationships, causing confusion among the players and coach. Guard Marina Mabrey and forward Angel Reese tried to handle the situation, with Reese asking the reporter to repeat the question.
Then, a man chimed in, remarking that the topic was uncomfortable and expressing disinterest in intimate relationships. This led to some awkward moments as everyone tried to make sense of the situation.
Eventually, it became apparent that someone had forgotten to mute their microphone, leading to a brief silence before the call resumed normally. The incident ended with some laughter and disbelief among the Sky members.
