How did Rose star fare against Vinyl BC in Unrivaled? (Mar. 10)

Angel Reese and Rose BC took on Vinyl BC on Monday. Reese and Co. looked to win the season series 2-1 with another victory. Both teams have already clinched playoff berths but vowed to play all out in the showdown.

The Chicago Sky star in the WNBA helped her team to a 19-12 lead after the first quarter. Reese contributed four points and three rebounds to support Brittney Sykes, who had 12 points in the opening period.

The Chi Barbie sustained her output in the second quarter as Rose extended its cushion. Reese finished the first half with eight points, nine rebounds and one block. Rose ended the first half with a 39-24 advantage.

Angel Reese had two points and four rebounds in the third quarter. She would have had more buckets had she been more efficient with her close-range shots. Still, she helped Rose BC to a 45-30 when she left the game for good.

Rose entered the fourth frame with a 63-42 advantage. Coach Nola Henry kept Reese on the bench as her team rolled to a dominant 74-46 win.

Angel Reese and Rose BC face Laces BC in the semifinals

Angel Reese and Rose BC already booked a place in the semifinals of the Unrivaled tournament before the lopsided win over Vinyl BC. Nola Henry’s team can earn a place in the first championship game if it can beat Laces BC on Sunday.

Reese and Co. will like their chances against the Alyssa Thomas-led squad after winning the season series 2-1. Rose won the past two head-to-head showdowns behind solid defense, chemistry and leadership from Chelsea Gray.

The Laces are rolling heading into the playoffs. They are on a two-game winning run before the semifinal encounter with Rose BC. Reese needs to be at her best to slow down Alyssa Thomas in the postseason.
