All-Star forward Breanna Stewart and the New York Liberty are on the verge of the franchise’s first-ever WNBA championship, which they’ll look to clinch in Game 4 of the WNBA Finals on Friday night against the Minnesota Lynx.
Stewart scored 30 points in Game 3 on Wednesday to help New York rally from a 15-point deficit for a thrilling 80-77 victory to go up 2-1 in the best-of-five series.
In her second season with the Liberty, the two-time league MVP averaged 20.4 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game as New York finished with the league’s best overall record (32-8) and earned the No. 1 seed in the playoffs.
