Formula 1 is heading to Madrid for the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix. Said to be F1’s most accessible circuit, a short commute from the city centre, the new Madring circuit is expected to have capacity for up to 110,000 spectators for its first appearance on the calendar in September 2026. Although full details are yet to be announced, here’s all we know so far about how and where to purchase tickets for the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix!

When Do Tickets Go On Sale for the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix?

The first phase of ‘early bird’ tickets for the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid went on sale on September 23, 2025. 53,000 3-day tickets were on sale in this period. Further tickets were released on November 28, 2025, including newly opened grandstand areas at Turn 5 and Turn 13, plus additional general admission tickets. Each successive release of tickets has seen prices rise.

Spanish Grand Prix Tickets: Need To Know

You can buy up to ten tickets.

All attendees require a ticket, except children under 3 years old who do not occupy a seat.

Children under 2 years old must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (one adult per two children).

Children under 6 years old accompanied by another responsible adult must present written authorisation from a parent or legal guardian.

All minors under 18 years old must be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult.

Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be resold.

All grandstand tickets include numbered seating.

It is not possible to explore the whole circuit. Your ticket will grant access only to your chosen grandstand or general admission area, as well as the Fan Zone for your sector.

Where to Watch the Action at the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix

Exact grandstand locations for Formula 1’s first race at the new Madring circuit, near the IFEMA Exhibition Center, can be seen in the graphic above. They are divided into tiers (Gold, Silver Plus, Silver, Bronze and General Admission), with their ranking based on which grandstands organisers expect to give the best views of the track. Only the Gold stands on the main straight and the Silver Plus stand at the exit of La Monumental are covered.

Race organisers say that all seats will provide views of giant screens and you’ll have access to expert commentary, allowing you to follow the racing as it unfolds. It should be noted that the circuit is currently being developed and “some products may be subject to change”. It’s worth noting that your ticket provides you with access only to your chosen grandstand and its associated Fan Zone (or in the case of La Monumental ticket holders, Fan Zones).

Main Straight – Recta Principal, Grandstands 1 & 2

The Main Grandstand at the Madring will overlook the starting grid, the pit lane and the podium celebrations – and could give fans a view of the action at Turn 1. These are the most expensive grandstand seats at the Spanish Grand Prix and are some of the only covered stands at the circuit.

Often the best place to see a Formula 1 race is from the first corner grandstand. At the Madring, the first turn should be a prime overtaking spot, with cars decelerating heavily from over 300km/h at the end of the almost-600 metre main straight. With just 200 metres between the starting line and the first turn, elbows will be out on Lap 1 at the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix. Turn 2, a slow right hand turn, follows almost immediately after. You’ll get views of this section of track from Grandstand 2

Pit Exit – Alta Velocidad – Grandstand 3

Named after nearby neighbourhood Hortazela, the sweeping Turn 3 is the drivers’ entry into the urban section of track, down Ribera del Sena street – the longest straight on the circuit. Grandstand 3 is located here and has a direct view of the pit lane exit.

Turns 4 and 5 – Alta Velodcidad – Grandstands 4 & 5

Grandstands 4 and 5 are located at the fastest point on the circuit, at the end of the long straight, which will be taken flat out. These stands overlook Turns 4 and 5, with Grandstand 5 likely to offer the best views of the two viewing areas. Turn 5 will be perhaps the best overtaking opportunity at the Madring. It sees the drivers brake from 340km/h to just 80km/h. Sit here and you’re sure to see some bold passes!

Subida de las Cárcavas & – General Admission (Peltouse) & Grandstand 6

From the inside of the track, General Admission (Pelouse) overlooks the section of track which encompasses Turns 6, 7 and 8, an uphill blast through the Cárcavas neighbourhood. Turn 7 is blind and is the highest point on the circuit. Panoramic views of this section will be on offer from Grandstand 6.

El Búnker – Grandstands 7 & 8

With a 5% downhill gradient following into El Búnker (Turn 8), this is one of the most technically challenging sections of the circuit – a particularly good spot to spectate if you want to see the drivers working the cars to their limit in qualifying.

Next on the track map, a high-speed right hand Turn 9 welcomes drivers into the Valdebebas section of circuit. Turns 10 and 11 make up La Chicane, designed to reduce the speed of the cars before they head into the banked section. The circuit is 12 metres wide – plenty of space for an overtake or two at the chicane!

Choose Grandstands 7 and 8 to be close to these sections of track.

Turn 12, La Monumental – Grandstands 9. 10, 11 & 12

The show piece of the Madring circuit is the banked Turn 12, named La Monumental. This half-kilometre turn with 24% of gradient banking is the biggest challenge for drivers at the new home of the Spanish Grand Prix. This section of track will be lined by grandstands with a total capacity of 45,000, on either side of the track. Note that the Silver Plus grandstand (Grandstand 11) is the only covered stand in this section. It’s surely set to be a unique place to view a Formula 1 race. Expect fireworks!

Turn 13 – Grandstands 13 & 14

The track widens to 18 metres at the 84 degree left-hand Turn 13, which may prove to be a key overtaking spot at the Madring. At the exit of the banked section, braking will be heavy into this corner and a good exit is key for setting up the next part of the track – where the drivers approach a tunnel! The Silver Plus stand (Grandstand 13) is covered.

Las Enlazadas De Valdebebas

Through the Valdebebas area, drivers speed through Turns 14, 15 and 16 in quick succession before reaching the right-hand Turn 17, another hard braking zone.

Norte

Turn 18 is named Norte, after the North Convention Center. Just outside of one of the circuit’s tunnels, hospitality guests will be watching the action from this section of track, as the cars hurtle towards the fast left-hand Turn 19.

El Parque

Turns 20 and 21 are in the slowest section of the track, Turn 20 could be a good spot for some passes, while Turn 21 requires precise car placement and careful throttle application to get the best run into the final corner. Turn 22 is named El Parque and this 90 degree turn is named after the scenic park located just beyond it.

Ignition Club

The Ignition Club overlooks the exit of the Madring’s banked La Monumental turn and Turn 13 – which could be a great spot for overtaking. Complete with local and international cuisine and free-flowing premium drinks, plus appearances from motorsport experts, DJs and racing simulators.

Club 91

Described as the “most luxurious” hospitality offering at the Madring, Club 91 is located on the main straight. It overlooks all the goings on in the pitlane from opposite the garages. Expect world-class hospitality with Michelin-starred cuisine and a full entertainment programme with live music and appearances from F1 legends. The rooftop terrace will offer panoramic views.

El Mirador

Inspired by Mediterranean beach clubs, El Mirador is located on the inside of La Monumental. Set to be a high-energy party scene, there’ll be cocktails and gourmet offerings from Madrid’s restaurant scene.

Traction Club

If you want to combine race weekend with culinary experiences and live jazz music, this is the option for you. The Traction Club will have a “members-only” feel, with cooking-themed activations in the lounge and live music performances in the auditorium.

La Terminal

La Terminal will have views of the drivers exiting the tunnel as they approach Turns 18 and 19. Reserved grandstand seats are included with this package, which is geared towards motorsport fans of all ages. Complete with racing arcades in a neon-lit exhibition hall, you’ll be able to access food trucks and mercado stations.

La Azotea

The social rooftop scene of La Azotea is the place to be seen at the Spanish Grand Prix. With views overlooking the city, this hospitality area is located above La Monumental, the circuit’s banked turn. Enjoy all-day tapas, food stations and headline DJ performances.

It should be mentioned that the former host of the race – Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya – was a dry circuit, with only non-alcoholic beer served trackside. At that event, hospitality was the only opportunity to enjoy alcoholic drinks while watching cars on track.
