ESPN+, 6:30 pm, Dzmitry Asanau vs Francesco Patera. An Eye of the Tiger show from Montreal. 2024 Olympic bronze medalist Wyatt Sanford makes his pro debut!

TrillerTV PPV, 6:00 pm ET, El Arte del Boxeo. This looks at first glance like a Misfits Boxing type of show focused on Puerto Rican celebrity/influencer types. Gallo the Producer vs Arte Cardé is the main event, an “intense duel” to “settle social media controversy.” But, the undercard includes actual boxing boxers doing boxing stuff. $14.99 gets you both the nonsense and the pros.
ProBox, 6:30 pm ET, Jordan White vs Matias Romero. Once again, ProBox presents what might have been a delightful Wednesday night appointment show on a Saturday, scheduled partially or entirely against a major fight. I don’t presume to know the business particulars of anyone else’s operation. But, if two years spent making Wednesday nights a destination showcase for fun, active, well-matched cards in a cost-controlled venue wasn’t financially viable? I can’t imagine carrying 3rd party promotions at times when boxing fans are watching something else entirely is a ticket to riches, either. I really enjoyed ProBox Wednesdays, but right now, I don’t see it – literally or metaphorically. Stephan Shaw and William Foster III also appear in support.
DAZN, 8:00 pm ET, Jaron “Boots” Ennis vs Eimantas Stanionis. A welterweight unification, where Ennis holds the IBF belt, Stanionis the WBA. This looks like the best vs the best at welterweight, with Ennis an eye-test pound-for-pound guy and Stanionis a well-rounded, hard-hitting talent with no significant visible holes in his game. If there’s a knock here, it’s that Stanionis spent most of the three years since his breakthrough victory of Radzhab Butaev involuntarily idling, the victim of Vergil Ortiz’s chronic health issues. But, this is as good as it gets for a unification at the weight, and it’s well past time for both men to prove themselves against someone on the level of the other. Ray Ford vs Thomas Mattice is the chief support, with Shakhram Giyasov deeper on the undercard. BLH will have live updates
