The 2025 WNBA Draft is on Monday night and LSU women’s basketball star Aneesah Morrow is projected to be among the top picks.
ESPN’s latest mock draft slots Morrow at No. 5, going to the Golden State Valkyries. Morrow was one of the top forwards in college basketball this year, leading the country in rebounding with 30 double-doubles. Morrow was one of the nation’s top scorers, averaging 18.7 points per game, and was a key part of back-to-back LSU Elite Eight runs.

Morrow is the lone Tiger from this year’s team in the draft pool, but former LSU guard Hailey Van Lith will also hear her name called. The ESPN mock has Van Lith reuniting with former LSU teammate Angel Reese in Chicago.

Who will be the No. 1 overall pick?
Much like last year, there’s not much controversy at the top of the draft. UConn’s Paige Bueckers will be the No. 1 overall pick. The Dallas Wings will get the privilege of drafting the national championship-winning guard.
Could Aneesah Morrow team up with former LSU star Angel Reese?
The Chicago Sky pick at No. 10 and No. 11. ESPN predicts the Sky to split those picks between a forward and a guard. Morrow falling to No. 10 is unlikely, but if she does, she’d make sense for Chicago.
Morrow and Reese compliment each other well in the post. Both are elite rebounders. Reese provides a physical presence while Morrow is more agile. It’s a tough combo to defend.
