The 2025 WNBA draft takes place on Monday, April 14 at The Shed in New York City and for the first time ever, the Golden State Valkyries will make a pick. The expansion team owns the No. 5 overall selection.
The Valkyries built the bulk of their roster via the expansion draft in December, making 11 picks from other WNBA teams. In free agency, they added former All-Star Tiffany Hayes and signed Monique Billings, a pending free agent from their expansion draft.
Making the calls for the Valkyries will be general manager Ohemaa Nyanin, who has been guiding the front office over the last 11 months.
