The Historic Sportscar Racing organization is pleased to announce a new long-term sponsorship agreement with Mission Foods to be the presenting partner for the HSR Classic Endurance Championship.
The ‘HSR Classic Endurance Championship Presented by Mission Foods’ will debut in 2025, bringing a fresh perspective to historic racing with a well-known sponsor that is involved in events ranging from Formula 1 to IndyCar. This sponsorship demonstrates Mission Foods’ commitment to supporting events that honor the sport’s rich history.
Mission Foods CEO Juan Gonzalez expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to collaborate with Historic Sportscar Racing on the launch of the new HSR Classic Endurance Championship. Being part of the first major endurance championship in the U.S. for vintage and historic race cars is truly exciting, and we are proud to stand behind HSR, its participants, and fans.”
The Classic Endurance Championship is a significant addition to HSR, similar to how IMSA’s Michelin Endurance Championship complements the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Participants in the longer events will have the opportunity to earn points towards claiming endurance titles in various HSR classes.
The upcoming HSR Classic Endurance Championship calendar with Mission Foods includes events such as the Sebring Classic 12 Hour, Watkins Glen Classic 6 Hour, Road Atlanta Classic 10 Hour, and the Daytona Classic 24 Hour.
IMSA president John Doonan praised Mission Foods’ strong support in motorsports and its alignment with HSR’s goals. He remarked, “Mission Foods’ dedication as the top brand of tortillas and wraps is mirrored in their robust motorsports partnerships. Juan has also found success as a driver in HSR competitions, further solidifying the synergy between Mission Foods and the racing community.”
