The performance has been positive, especially after the updates we brought to Silverstone. We’re definitely exceeding expectations from last season and I’m enjoying racing for points. Our goal is to maintain this performance for the rest of the season.
Q: Were you surprised by the team’s progress this year after the struggles of last year? NH: Yes, we were pleasantly surprised with our performance from the beginning of the season. The reshuffling of our technical structures has been a key factor in our improved performance.
Q: Do you think you can be competitive at this track? NH: Yes, I believe we can be competitive based on our performances so far this season.
Q: Your teammate announced he won’t be continuing with Haas in 2025. What are your thoughts on Kevin Magnussen? NH: It’s been a pleasure working with Kevin, and we have developed a good relationship. I wish him all the best for the future.
Q: Thank you, Nico. Pierre, are you a Taylor Swift fan? Pierre Gasly: Yes, it was an incredible experience attending her concert with Charles. Let’s talk about Formula 1 now.
Q: After four consecutive points finishes, the team lost momentum at Silverstone. Do you understand the issues with the car? PG: It was difficult to assess the performance at Silverstone due to mixed conditions. We need to focus on improving our car’s performance.
Q: What do you need from the car to recreate the performance in Barcelona? PG: We need new upgrades on the car to be more competitive in the midfield.
Q: Who do you want as a teammate for 2025? PG: I trust the team to make the right decision, but we have good options available.
Q: Have you spoken to Carlos? PG: I have spoken with him, but the decision is up to him.
Q: Thank you, Pierre. Alex, back in the points at Silverstone after some difficult races. How important was that ninth place finish? Alex Albon: It was good to secure another points finish, especially on a track that suited us. We are moving in the right direction.
Q: How do you sum up the first half of this season with only two points finishes? AA: It’s been challenging, but we are working to improve our performance and close the gap to other teams in the midfield.
Q: What are the goals for Hungary? AA: We have low expectations for this circuit, but we are testing new options to address our performance issues.
Q: Oscar, do you think you could have won the race at Silverstone if you had not done the extra lap in the rain? Oscar Piastri: It would have been tough, but we are learning from our mistakes and focusing on improving.
Q: What lessons have been learned from Silverstone? OP: We are competing against experienced teams and learning from each race. Frustration is avoided by focusing on self-improvement.
Q: How do you prevent frustration from creeping in after near misses in races? OP: We focus on what we can control and our improvements rather than dwelling on missed opportunities.
