Ilia Topuria Sends Bold Message to Conor McGregor
ESPN had the opportunity to chat with Ilia Topuria after his successful defense of the UFC featherweight title. During the interview, Topuria addressed McGregor’s recent post with a stern warning for the “Notorious” one (via MMAMania.com).
“I don’t have much to say. He’s just fake,” Topuria stated. “He’s always pretending to make a comeback. He disrespects everyone in the UFC. He acts like he doesn’t care about anyone, like he has no respect for anyone.”
“Dude, you’ve got issues. You really need to work on your mindset. Either take some classes on respect or surround yourself with better people, because you’re heading down a really dark path. When you live with these kinds of values, you’re not going to end up in a good place.”
“So, pray to God that our paths never cross,” Topuria concluded. “Because when they do, I’m going to mess you up big time.”
McGregor has been inactive in the Octagon since 2021, recovering from a broken leg. Fans are unsure of how he will perform upon return, considering the time off. It remains to be seen if he can recapture the same explosive skill that propelled him to two division championships.
We will provide updates on Conor McGregor’s fighting future, as well as who Ilia Topuria’s next opponent will be, as more information becomes available.
