Welcome to Midnight Mania!
After a $2000 fine and nine-month suspension, former UFC Flyweight Igor Severino will return to action before the end of 2025. He’ll make his Oktagon debut opposite 17-6 Bantamweight veteran Jonas Magard at the promotion’s Oktagon 65 event inside 02 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic on December 29, 2024.
His suspension ends six days prior.
Back in March 2024, the Brazilian prospect was in the midst of a highly entertaining, back-and-forth battle with fellow up-and-comer Andre Lima. It was a really good display of young Flyweight talent, but Severino threw away his entire UFC career by biting his opponent in the second round (watch here). He was promptly released from the organization and forever banned, even after Lima requested lenience for the man who bit him.
The promotion posted a video of Severino excited about the match up, which will be his first fight up at 135-pounds.
“I will make my debut in OKTAGON MMA against Jonas Magard,” Severino explains (via MMA News). “I’m very excited for the fight, I can’t wait to go there and put on a show for everybody. Jonas, I see you soon, I’m ready. December 29th, let’s go.”
Perhaps this is the start of Severino’s redemption arc? It may appear that he’s permanently in the dog house for now, but crazier UFC grudges have been forgiven (or forgotten), and Severino still has a long career ahead of him to earn goodwill.
Insomnia
A sneaky bit of blending wrestling with striking from Movsar Evloev:
The poorly timed camera angle change might have made you miss this one in Evloev vs Allen.
Allen is posting both hands on the fence to help him stand up after the mat return, but that lets Evloev sneak in a nasty punch from the rear waist lock. pic.twitter.com/ostOiX70nf

Tyson Fury better show up with abs for this level of payout.
Jorge Masvidal’s Octagon return sounds like it’s coming together …
By virtue of being an actual professional fighter and not being crippled by injuries, I think Paul Felder is a reasonable bet here.
A hint that Trump can get Khamzat into the US?
It’s hard to believe this is the same man who turned Antonio Silva into a bloody carcass in like two minutes.

Want to get familiar with Shavkat Rakhmonov before UFC 310? UFC posted his entire Octagon career!
Vendy clearly throws with clubbing power.
Open stance engagement … kick the body … kick the head … CLASSIC!
